When I was young, this verse carried me through the tough times – and still does today!

John 15:7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

I have learned to remind myself, when things are tough, to not allow problems to distract me from my relationship with Christ and to keep His Words on my mind and in my heart. When I come through the problems (and I always do when I call to Him and trust in His Word) I immediately recognize that He carried me through. He blessed me with the desires of my heart, to come through the problems, to be comforted and at peace. Each time I grow closer to Him and know more and more how to use the strength and power of His Word. Doing this pleases God and He will bless you with all your desires. He enjoys seeing you happy and enjoying His blessings.

"My Word is your strength"
When I remember to make Him my priority all the time (good and bad) I stay connected to Him. I find myself praying and worshiping Him, knowing He will bless me. His Word begins to change me, to align me with His desires, and He blesses me with my desires. I begin to think like Him, to speak His Word (not mine) and He shapes my character to be like His!! My desires become His desires and as His Word declares “you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”

Father, thank you for blessing us, for molding us, for aligning our thoughts, character and desires with Yours. For blessing us with all the desires of our heart as we are illuminated with Your Word and Your desires! We trust You will always lead us to Your Word to carry us through all the times in our lives.

In Your Name, Christ and Lord Jesus we pray in faith, Amen
