Understanding your level of Spiritual maturity – aligning with His Will

“Listen, hear and understand”

Jesus often shared His Message in parables. One provides a simple explanation of levels of faith and understanding or ‘levels of Spiritual maturity’.

What is your level?

Listen to His Message and grow in understanding:

Matthew 13:3 … Listen! A farmer went out to plant some seeds.
4 As he scattered them across his field, some seeds fell on a footpath, and the birds came and ate them.
5 Other seeds fell on shallow soil with underlying rock. The seeds sprouted quickly because the soil was shallow.
6 But the plants soon wilted under the hot sun, and since they didn’t have deep roots, they died.
7 Other seeds fell among thorns that grew up and choked out the tender plants.
8 Still other seeds fell on fertile soil, and they produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted!
9 Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.

Now listen to the explanation of the parable about the farmer planting seeds:

Matthew 13:19 The seed that fell on the footpath represents those who hear the message about the Kingdom and don’t understand it. Then the evil one comes and snatches away the seed that was planted in their hearts.
20 The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy.
21 But since they don’t have deep roots, they don’t last long
. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God’s word.
22 The seed that fell among the thorns represents those who hear God’s word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life and the lure of wealth, so no fruit is produced.
23 The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!

Know your level and then read this over and over to understand the level you can grow to achieve. When you do, and focus on achieving a higher level a maturity, He will bless you and you will grow and understand more and more. He will lead you to align with His Will. Yes, your life will change and perhaps not as you my have desired. But know this, you will receive His blessings and when you understand them, you will accept the Life He has planned for you and an eternity with His Holy Spirit is yours.

Father, bless them with an “ear to hear” Your Message, to understand and to grow in Spiritual maturity.

  1. Am very defensive when it comes to question of level of faith. However, I believe I am in level, “received with joy, but does not last, due “worries of this life.”

I find it hard to understand parables, when I find myself needing to read and understand the Word of God.

I am a Catholic and although I do not dislike other religion, I dislike other religion members when I hear them discriminating the Catholic Faith.

I am very quick to criticize people who claims to have found truth meaning of the Word, thru different/new found religion for them. (For this, I pray, that they do find new faith but not comparing religions)! And I pray that I come to understand why such people feel this way.

I know of a particular novena, which I recite at all times when in need. A very powerful novena. I need my Faith to be strengthen at all times I pray this novena.

I pray for better understanding of His Word, His Way, and How to become a better Christian, Amen.

    1. Amen Agnes, your awareness of a desire for a better understand of His Word is God touching your heart, mind and soul to mature to a new level in your Spiritual relationship with him. I myself am Catholic and God has illuminated my heart, mind and soul with an understanding that practicing “religion”, all-be-it good and most often aligned with His Will for you, requires you, by your own will to accept an absolute faith, in Him. You see, God’s Word is God (John 1:1-5 He is the Word ) and knowing with all of your heart, mind and soul He Is, ahd He is the Word, His Word is what He gives us to understand Him. There is not a religion in this world that can bring this understanding, it is only through a faithful Life accepting Him, that He illuminates us. Christianity is not a religion, it is the foundation of all God Willed human practiced religions. Christianity is a Life in a Spiritual relationship with Him. Accepting Him is a choice we make, by His Will for us and we can choose, yes we can!

      You can choose today!

Now, for you Agnes, there will be no loss of Joy, no worries, no distractions of what others think or say, an understanding in all of your heart, mind and soul of Him, His Word. This is all for you, He promised this in His Word.

Amen, this is His Message for You!

Father, we know You will bless Agnes today with maturity in her Spiritual relationship with You. We know You will illuminate her heart, mind and soul with the understanding You provide each of us when all of our faith is in You, You alone, the Holy One, our Father.

In Your Glorious Name our Father, Lord and Christ Jesus, Your Holy Spirit we pray, Amen
