Praying for Geraldine Ferraro and her family – 3/26/2011

Prayer request for Geraldine Ferraro who lost her battle today against cancer. She was the first female to run for Vice President of America in 1984 and was widely known as a leader, a fighter for justice, and a tireless advocate for those without a voice. We are thankful for her humble service.

Father, we do not always understand Your way, but have faith Your plan is always for good and we know You have welcomed Geraldine Home with open arms.

We pray in faith in Your Word:

Ephesians 1:9-11 “God has now revealed to us His mysterious plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill His own good pleasure. And this is the plan: At the right time He will bring everything together under the authority of Christ — everything in Heaven and on earth. Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything workout according to his plan.”

1 Corinthians 15:51-57: “Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye….we shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed…and this mortal shall have put on immortality… thanks be to God, which giveth us this victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

We pray together in faith, that Your blessing of redemption and victory for Geraldine is a blessing You graciously provide for all of us!
